Banco de Alimentos invited us to create an awareness campaign about food waste that would also help spread the word about the organization’s work. And what better occasion than the year-end holidays, when the most food is left over and so much waste is generated.
In just 2 weeks, we achieved:
Reached 2.3M people
+32k video views.
+1,000 new followers.
18,000 visitors to the campaign landing page (24% of total donations from there).
+32% donations compared to previous periods.
How did we achieve it?
We designed a special landing page that featured a calculator for typical holiday recipes. Each user could enter the number of guests, and the page would automatically suggest the quantities to buy in order to avoid waste.
We also created a recipe book with options to reuse leftovers the next day in alternative dishes.
This was communicated through recipe and tips videos produced together with influencer @papacocina for our social media, and amplified by influencers along with a branding and performance paid media campaign.
